OVERSATURATION Part One: Singularity

OVERSATURATION Part One: Singularity

This first volume was originally released in 2010.  I have been making mixtapes since I was in High School.  This  was my first attempt using Ableton, with a lot of random samples.   There are many things I really like about this mix, the overall post-consumer thread and the appeal to the mainstream musically.  The sample set is also pretty good.  I’ve now made four of these, and this one is great but it only gets better as the series moves on.  It’s a cool introduction to the concept of OVERSATURATION.  The idea of the Singularity is that machine intelligence will grow to such an extent that we will no longer be able to distinguish between man and machine, eventually reaching a point where the machines will be able to build new improved versions of themselves.
